ReplyDeleteI was so glad to see Curtis go too. Charlie was amazing! I just love Charlie and want to see him succeed. And I want him to be sweet, cute and NOT do anything to mess it up. He can stay awkward and unique!

DeleteActually I think she did do very well last night too. But yeah the voting is SO confusing! I kept clicking the X button on the Thanks for Selecting Charlie!, then it lets you click on it again. But do those votes count? I wish they had it set up like the SuperVotes, where you sign in with your Facebook account, allocate however many votes, then submit, so you'd know how many votes you were submitting and that they counted. I don't want to sit there pressing buttons all day if it doesn't count.... And since we're not finding out the result until Wednesday it could be up for a while. I'm not worried though, I think even if Aubrey was voted in by the public, TPTB can always put Charlie in anyway because I think they have already decided they want him for the tour.
The other thing I noticed about Charlie last night, besides the fact that he looked healthier and happier, was that he looked like a STAR. I have to wonder if he got to work with a stylist like other contestants. He can be kind of sexy when he wears his suits ahhahahahah And I love how he always wears his turtle necklace and kisses it to show how much he loves us. To be honest, he didn't even look like a contestant, like he was just there to perform. When he walked by his fellow contestants to talk to Ryan, he looked like a star waving to an adoring crowd. He honestly doesn't need the show, he can go make a record right now and become a star. The show simply helped him get his name out there and gain some fans/popularity. That was all he really needed.
ReplyDeleteOh- and I do hope he is okay about his whole ex-girlfriend situation. I wonder if maybe that's what he was upset about a couple weeks ago. Well he shouldn't worry about her because I'm pretty sure there are many female turtles out there who are seeking his attention hahaha XD
Oh but how many lovely tunes we'll get out of that past romance. He seems inspired musically by that broken relationship. He seems like he's not ready to let go yet. Hope he makes the tour so he can taste how it is to be part of a concert that size and get to know other people/friends.
ReplyDeleteNow, I so agree with his presence last night. He seemed like a returning guest, like a previous winner. Part of that had to do with his confidence. But the energy in the building soared, probably because it was an real surprise to the audience. Very few knew they were the 6th contestants. It was an exciting surprise.
I asked on his fan page on Facebook if he had help from the stylists and his father said that he went shopping with his uncle for his outfit and everything he wore was his own decision. :-)

Charlie is one of the best for me because he doesn´t try to be artificial. He is just true to himself, his music comes from the heart. That´s so wonderful. (I´m Asperger, I was wondering if Charlie might be too?)

Yeah I saw that as well. It's funny because, and I think we talked about this before, that a while ago he posted something on his tumblr where he himself directly stated something like "I have Asperger's so it's nice to come here so I can be myself" or whatever. This makes me think for a time he was mistakenly diagnosed with Asperger's then at some point his doctor retracted that diagnosis. Some people are calling him autistic though. I don't know exactly what autism entails, perhaps this social disorder he has could technically be considered a very mild form of autism, but he seems to function quite normally, you would never even know he has any kind of disorder. He does seem to get flustered when Ryan or someone asks him a question, like he stumbles over his words, not knowing how exactly to formulate what he wants to say, but he doesn't seem to have any problems functioning normally. Ah, the many mysteries of Charlie Askew. XD
DeleteWell he probably has such a mild case in the lower part of the spectrum that they don't give it a name, just that he may be close to the spectrum of aspergers but not really there. This coming from someone who has no clue in these matters, so it really is just an opinion. Whatever it is, he's truly special, even when he gets flustered, I find myself unable to look away, he just captivates you.
