Arkansas Fox16 news channel interviews Charlie's Mom. He's kept his song a secret from everyone including his sister. He's home schooled, wanted to sing/play music his whole life, and he even knows how to play the organ.

Haha interesting. I had no idea he was homeschooled. It's no wonder his Facebook says that he went to school at a "Turtle Shell." So I guess that's actually now 5 instruments he plays? I'm planning honestly to vote for him continuously until the 2 hours run out lol I'm so excited to see him perform tonight, I hope he can change people's minds about his vocal ability and really deliver something amazing. And keeping his song choice from everyone? He really is Mystery Man, more and more every day haha His reactions in the audience last night were hilarious. How does he manage to be so cute when he's not even doing anything? XD

ReplyDeleteAwww i wonder why he was home schooled, I hope it was not due to bullyism grrr! He is so special and yes i'll be voting as long as i can too! Yup he is a mystery even to his fans. He's the only one not tweeting to us!! But i still love him!
I have the feeling it was because of his social disorder. I guess for a time they believed he had Asperger's, although I guess later that diagnosis turned out to be false and he fits no social diagnosis at all. But yeah, I guess it was probably due to the fact he felt uncomfortable in social situations. He doesn't seem to have any problems making friends though, I guess participating in his local theater group helped him to become more sociable.
DeleteThat's true, theatre and performing with the 4Reps definitely helped him. I really want to hear that pure voice tonight. That's all he has to do, belt out in that voice and he'll gain tons of fans.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how Angie did it but because she sang the Colton song, she went from 8K to 20K followers. Peeps think she gained Colton fans. The twitter game looks interesting hopefully is not an indicator of how popular they are because our boy is loosing in that department.
That is probably the exact reason why she gained so many fans- they are spillovers from Colton. And of course her whole Christian thing probably helps. Perhaps Charlie would gain more fans if he actually tweeted but he doesn't so.... no surprise why he doesn't have as many fans as his competitors. Which is a shame because his videos have some of the most views, he needs to be using that to his advantage and transitioning those 300,000+ viewers into followers. I hope somebody advises him on this because it would suck if he lost out due to the lack of communication/followers/tweeting, etc.
DeleteWell his uncle has a facebook page and has been encouraging peeps to vote, his Dad tweets once in a blue mom and I guess the women in his family decided that's not enough, and approached TV media. Maybe it's taking him a longer time to adjust to AI schedule, rehearsing and promos they have to do.
ReplyDeleteHeyjun was #1 in tweeter followers and he left on 7th place but Phillip was #2 on Twitter and he won. So you're right he may have to step up, maybe once he gets to top 10 he'll get cranking.
He really needs a kick ass performance tonight. I hope him singing 4th is not an indicator that his song is not a great choice. They place the real good singers towards the end last night. Ok, i'm gonna stop worrying and just wait and see.
My guess for his lack of tweeting is 1) Shyness/privateness and 2) Doesn't have much to say. Hopefully if/when he makes the Top 10 he will have more to say, I'd love to see him post a few photos of their day getting ready for rehearsals and when they start doing the Ford commercials or just hanging out with the other contestants. But I have the feeling he doesn't like to post photos of himself either. Twitter is a perfect storm for him lol
DeleteActually Wikipedia seemed to have the order only partially right. I don't remember the order they had exactly, they got Zoanette going first correctly, but they had Angie last and of course Candice actually went last. They did have more of the better singers last but Adrianna was boring and bland and she was 9th, so I don't know if the order necessarily depends entirely on how good everyone is. The type of song they're doing is also a factor and I'm sure they probably manipulate certain positions to make the contestants look better or worse than those who followed or preceded them (Adrianna looking like shit compared to Amber, Kree, and Angela before her, which ended up making Candice look more amazing) As long as he isn't first, I think he is okay wherever he is.
Oh good, that makes me feel better. Just want people to remember his performance. I know Adrianna was not good and yet dialidol had her first due to the Phillipino vote? Not sure.
