  1. Aw I love Charlie's blue sneakers hahaha <3

Interesting theme for next week, I've actually always wanted a theme like this. Too bad they can't do any coronation songs though. None of these artists seem to fit Charlie's style, but if anything, I can see him maybe picking Because of You by Kelly Clarkson- I think that would actually be a very good choice for him and he could rock out on piano!

  2. I know it's going to be tough. Kelly does rock so maybe he'll feel comfortable with her music, but like you, I want to see him on the piano so bad. All I know is that Charlie always surprises me. :)

  3. I am SO upset he didn't make it through! :-( I smell the most rancid bullshit with the guys' picks, they got all the girls right, but something smells extremely fishy. He seemed to have gotten a TON of votes last night, there's no way the extremely dislikable Curtis made it over him. The stupid producers know he doesn't fit into their neat little mold so they put their Judges' Pet in instead. I hope he is the guy who gets to compete in the "sing off" Ryan mentioned next week. But knowing this show it will probably be someone stupid like Cortez, Elijah, or Vincent. As sad as I am that he won't be on my TV every week anymore, I think in the end it's better for him this way. The Idol Machine would just try to constrict his artistry and he is far beyond that, he is far beyond this show. Did you notice how they hardly included him in the montage clips? They will regret how they treated him once his first record goes multi-platinum worldwide. They will regret it when he becomes a huge rockstar all over the world. As soon as the time is right for him, he will rock the music industry so hard they won't even know what hit them. I hope he continues to keep us updated on what comes next for him and I also hope that you keep this blog up because I always enjoy coming here to check for any news I can about him and it's fun to discuss him with another fan. Charlie should be incredibly proud of himself for getting this far and for having the guts to share so much of himself with the world. I am a proud Awkward Turtle and I am so excited to see what the future holds for our man!

  4. Yup, there was no way he didn't make it through. I did notice the packages and knew right there that he was not going to get picked. This new save twist is so ridiculous. How are you going to save someone only for the tour? What a sham. Yes, in time he'll come out with a bang. He was too much of a rocker and they didn't want that at all. All he needed was to get a guitar and that would have been it for their golden girl.

But he has tons of fans now....and yes I will try to keep this site updated as I can. Of course with Charlie it's hard since he doesn't ever tweet!!

    1. Like you wrote in one of your later posts, as sad as I am not to see him on my TV every week, in the end, it is better for him this way. These reality-competition shows aren't ideal for his shy personality. In fact, this is probably the best spot he could have placed. He did not have to deal with being eliminated by himself if this were a later round, he was going home with some other guys, and he gained just enough exposure to gain a solid fan base. The stories of Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson are enough to tell us that you don't have to win this show to be successful. I can picture him starting his own band like Chris did and maybe in a few years (with proper vocal training) Broadway like Jennifer. The sky is the limit for him at this point and I'm sure he will do something wonderful.

At this point, I am now rooting for Devin. For the girls my favorite is Kree, but I also like Candice, Amber, and Janelle. For the other boys, I somewhat like Burnell and Lazaro but I don't think Lazaro is really that strong of a vocalist. His story is only going to carry him so far. But of course we all know the final 2 is going to end up being Curtis versus Angela or something, the only 2 people I don't like! I actually do like most of the Top 10, it's just that it would have been nice if Charlie had gotten in instead of Curtis or Paul. What is the deal with Paul anyway? At first I thought he was a pretty strong vocalist, but now... he seems to be faltering in comparison to some of the other contestants. I would really like for Devin to win (but I know it won't happen) because he has a very nice voice and doesn't seem like the "typical" pop star, yet he is still somewhat moldable (without being a total corporate puppet) and he has his story of being fatherless, which many people can relate to. He's a nice kid with a nice voice.

  5. I think they want a Angela and Kree final. Kree is my choice , her voice is effortless. But Angela seems to be more dynamic in her performances. All the boys i liked are gone. Devin is ok, i mean he has a good voice but nothing jumps at me and I understand spanish and not even that gets me! lol Maybe it's the hair. Or the many sweaters. I dunno. Paul he's just ok but oh so boring. Lazaro, lovely kid, love his story but again nothing outstanding in his voice or delivery. Curtis Finchy is too much for me , I can't handle him or you so i guess that's that for our deep analysis of his voice, lol.
