Good Luck Charlie!

Wishing Charlie best of luck tonight!!   American Idol would be fools not to allow a breath of fresh air into a tour full of ballad singers.   I can see it now, Charlie opening the concert with a rocking song making everyone stand in their feet.  I think he deserves to sing 2 songs in my book.

  1. Haha I agree, I think he'd especially have fun with the group numbers. For the past couple of tours now at least one contestant (other than the winner and runner up) have sung an original song. No doubt Angie will probably get to do Set Me Free again, but they should let Charlie do his Sky Blue Diamond too. Sky Blue Diamond and Rocket Man or a Queen song would be perfect! XD

I'm wishing him the best of luck too, but we'll see what happens. I'd find it hard to believe if Aubrey got more votes than Charlie because her fanbase doesn't seem as big as his, but you never know. Whatever happens, he will be fine with or without the show.

When I look at these pictures, I just can't get over how unique his look is (and I'm not even referencing his clothes). Just his hair and his face is so different from the standard "popstar" look, or even rockstar look. For some reason I can just picture him going on to be as big as the artists he admires, doing his own thing, having his own look and sound.... It won't be long before he has a concert of his own. ;-)

  2. That's a great idea, sky blue diamonds and a queen song. Can you imagine him doing Bohemian Rhapsody playing the piano and guitar?

I know he is this unique artist that not even the judges knew exactly how to categorize that's because he will come out with his own unique sound of music and everyone will know.."oh that's charlie askew" It will be that define. I have no doubts about it.

I have no idea how big Aubrey's fan base is but again he's gain so many fans already that he'll be ok.

The one thing I was wondering is the voting setup for this tour spot. They gave us 4 days to vote day and night. I mean they had to know that when you do that they will rack up tons votes. I was thinking that maybe they will use this extravagant number of votes and say there were so many votes for these 2 that they will make them both come back to the competition. Or maybe one of them comes back to the competition and both get a tour spot. It's just odd to have given us that much time to vote.

    1. I found that strange too but they always like to say they got some huge number of votes, so perhaps they want a big number. I found the voting process confusing though- for normal voting, if done online, you have to use a Facebook account or Idol account. This time no such account was necessary. There was no SuperVote. There was no captcha code. You simply clicked on the person's face, received a Thanks for Voting! message, then could close the message and do the same thing 50 times over again? Does not make sense to me at all.... I honestly would not be surprised if it tracked how many times people clicked on it, but in reality, these are not votes. The producers have probably decided since the Top 10 were chosen that they wanted Charlie back, for the many times that I've said, for an increase in tour sales. They pretended like the public gets to "vote" who gets the tour spot because otherwise it wouldn't be fair to just add an eliminated contestant to the tour, but I honestly think they already know who they want.

  3. That's true. Anyone could vote account or not. So maybe the producers will pick the winner no matter what. I wonder at point of tonight's show they'll announce the winner. Can't wait! So they have Amber opening and Paul closing the night. Hope the show picks up in the energy/excitement level.

Here are the spoilers so far:

    1. Cool, thanks! I didn't even know people knew ahead of time what the song choices were.

Interesting, I expected Angela to do Let It Be. Candice doing Come Together will be interesting. Glad to see Lazaro didn't pick something too obvious (Yesterday, Let It Be, Here Comes the Sun, etc.) I'm curious to know what Devin will sing, he's my favorite guy.

And I was also wondering at what point in the show they will announce the tour spot. I will die if they make us sit through 2 hours of this before telling us. I doubt it would be in the middle of the show and the end is supposed to be for going through the voting numbers again, so I hope they announce it at the beginning.

  4. Here's the complete list: I think arrangements will be the key because the melodies are simple and catchy and they will need "moments" whatever that is! lol

  5. Yay I'm excited for Devin's choice, I think it will fit his voice very well. Paul's choice is interesting as well.

  6. NOOOOO can't believe he didn't make it!!!!!! :-( Many people said they'd only go to the tour this year if Charlie was there so Idol just lost tons of ticket sales. Seriously how stupid are they? Do they think people are here for another boring bland pretty pageant singer????? I'm glad Charlie seemed to take it well. Unfortunately I think Idol just feels he is too "different." He is honestly too good for this show, they don't seem to understand what "artists" are and they would only hold him back. It's only going to be uphill for him from here. Idol will wish they kept him when they are hurting in their pockets.

And WTF PLEASE tell me how Burnell, who doesn't know freakin' LET IT BE or any other BEATLES songs, is on this show but not Charlie????? That is just messed up. Horrifically disgustingly sickeningly excruciatingly messed up. Devin and Kree are the only contestants left that make this season bearable.... I can't. I just can't with this anymore.

  7. I was just numb last night. I couldn't believe it!! Ratings are low and they will continue that way. They are starting to weed out the men slowly but surely. They made Lazaro cry but somehow that's ok, no mental breakdowns for him, right? Ugh.

I'll just have to concentrate on Charlie and his music. That makes me happy and I will stay happy no matter how much AI tries to screw with us!! lol

    1. I know! Double standard much? Lazaro outright has tears pouring down his face and gets called "brave", Charlie simply chokes up a little and frowns and he suddenly has a mental illness and gets called "unstable" and gets bashed for simply being himself. W. T. FFFFFFFFFFF.
